What is beef tallow?
Beef tallow is a natural substance made by gently rendering fat from cows, particularly the interior fat known as suet. This process transforms suet into a versatile and nutrient-rich fat that has been used for generations, especially in traditional skincare routines. Today, beef tallow is valued as a natural alternative in skincare products for those seeking simpler, more wholesome ingredients.
Why do I need to add tallow to my skincare routine?
Beef tallow is packed with skin-loving nutrients like vitamins A, D, E, and K. Its fatty acid profile closely mimics our skin’s natural oils, so it absorbs easily without clogging pores. It hydrates deeply, calms inflammation, and helps repair and protect your skin—naturally.
Our ingredients
We use 100% grass-fed grass-finished tallow sourced from US farms, which is the highest quality and most nutrient-dense form of tallow you can find. We use organic sweet almond oil and 100% pure and USDA organic essential oils in our scented options.
The “no” list
At Amallow, we like to keep it simple. We don’t add anything extra to our products. No preservatives, chemicals, toxins, GMOs, fillers, dyes, or artificial fragrances. If you can’t pronounce it, we don’t include it in our products.

Tallow can indeed be beneficial for oily or acne-prone skin. Despite common misconceptions, applying tallow-based products to oily or acne-prone skin can actually help balance oil production and alleviate acne symptoms. Tallow's fatty acids have antimicrobial properties that can help combat acne-causing bacteria, while its anti-inflammatory properties soothe irritated skin and reduce redness associated with acne.

Are your tallow products pregnancy safe
Our tallow moisturizers are generally considered safe to use on your entire body during pregnancy and nursing because they contain natural ingredients that are typically well-tolerated by the skin. However, since there is conflicting opinions on essential oils during pregnancy, we advise to consult with your doctor if you are considering purchasing a scented version.
Do your products have any certifications?
Yes! Our tallow creams have undergone HRIPT (Human Repeat Insult Patch Test) dermatological testing and was proven to be non-irritating and well-tolerated by most skin types, including sensitive skin. However, since our formula contains almond oil, individuals with nut allergies should consult a doctor or perform a patch test before use.

I love all the products in the daily ritual. The deodorant works really well and the sun balm was a great surprise. I now use it daily. The face cleanser is a little different being that it’s a powder but pleasantly surprised how clean my face feels and the scent is very light. The vanilla lavender face tallow feels so good on my face takes a little bit to soak in but a little bit goes along ways. Lip balm is great as well. Would definitely recommend!!

I have been using tallow in general for a couple years now. I’ve been on the hunt for a face tallow that wouldn’t leave me waking up in the morning feeling like I have a layer of dirt on my face. I came across this blue tansy and had to give it a try. It’s so light and soaks in so quickly. I love the texture and the scent. Still working on the amount to use as it is not absorbing as well as I would like. I read that sweet almond oil is better than jojoba oil for mature skin as it is heavier. May need a lighter one for day use. My research indicated that the fewer ingredients the better. Amallow has the fewest I have tried. This is the best tallow product I have tried.

Beautiful packaging! I apply the tincture on my face every night before going to bed. A little goes a long way. It has a great scent and is not oily. I use various amallow whipped tallow cream daily on my body, but the blue tansy is my favorite. I use the blue tansy only on my face and I apply it last (I do not wear makeup) every morning. My face feels soft all day and it has helped minimize a deep crease on the middle of my forehead.

This is the first natural deodorant that holds up through the sweat and covers the smell. I cannot begin to tell you how many natural deodorants I have tried throughout the years most either irritated my skin or only lasted a short amount of time then I would start to smell. I highly recommend Amallow's deodorants and I love the travel size ones as you can try different scents and see which ones you like and which one works with your body chemistry.
